After having seen previous cartoons of me, several friends asked for their own drawing. Here's one of them.

I start with sketching, the bottom one being the one I pick.

Smiling. Inked. Colored.

Shadows and highlights.

I enhance the contrast in Photoshop, add a drop shadow and some squigglies for the background. And I omitted the upper lip after some feedback. Also, said friend wanted earphones and sunglasses. To look cooler, I guess.

For this piece I used Scriptographer, a plugin for Adobe Illustrator for which I wrote a script that gives me better control over the thickness of stylus-drawn lines.
